Portable Folding Chairs

Friday, September 18th, 2009

For those who are constantly on the go, attending kids’ sporting events, going out into the woods to go camping, and other activities such as these portable folding chairs are a definite must. They are so portable that you can bring them anywhere. Beyond that they are foldable which means that you can fit many of them into the trunk of your car or even on top of it.

These types of folding chairs have come a long way from the models of old. Those ones were always just made of metal or plastic. They were not very comfortable at all and they didn’t make for such a great outdoor activity chair. They were hardly weatherproof like today’s nylon models.

Today’s portable folding chairs are made mostly of nylon so that they are protected against all manner of weather: rain, snow, sleet, and hail. They also do not stain easily if at all. You can tons of mud slapped all around on them at soccer games and all you have to do is spray them down with more water and presto: they’re clean again, spotless in fact.

These great new portable chairs are actually often equipped with extra comfortable seating. This is key: in the past you could really give your butt a real good soreness by sitting on the chairs of old for too long at all. Now with a little ingenuity in the placement and use and type of materials you can just totally forget about what you’re sitting on and enjoy your self. Who could ask for anything more than that? But there is more: cup holders. I’m sure you have seen these before. Not all of the portable folding chairs come with this feature built in so you will have to look into more on your own as you are shopping and browsing for your purchase, whether this takes place in a physical store or in the online world. (I would highly suggest shopping online because you can get much better deals and have access to so many options that you can really get exactly what you want. Even if you don’t end up ordering your chair/s online you can at least get a much better idea for what’s out there before you head on over to your local store to make your purchase.) Just try to think of what kind of features you want before you actually make your final decision.

Wooden Folding Chairs

Wooden folding chairs are especially great for home use. Yes, they can be used in a corporate setting or in churches, hospitals, schools, cafeterias, and other settings, but they are probably best suited for aid in interior decoration and even outdoor patio and deck use.

The recent rise in popularity of folding chairs made of wood is probably attributable to the fact that they can actually add so much style to whatever houses they appear in. Many, many different types of wood can be used in their construction. Many different shades and colors can also be employed. This makes for a wide selection which can easily be fitted to the already existent patterns of design present in your own home. Every woman will be pleased that she can avoid the uglier plastic and metal folding chairs of the past now. Prices will obviously vary depending on the cost of the wood as well as its overall availability and present popularity. (The rare, the more expensive: this is the economic rule of basically all consumer product sectors.)

So what is the proper use of wooden folding chairs? I see two main uses for them. On the first hand, they are probably most often used to allow for the accommodation of more guests. Sure, everyone has at least a few spare chairs that can be brought in from the basement, kitchen, living room, etc. But what if you are having a really big New Year’s Party? What if you have invited over more guests than ever? This is the perfect time to be able to pull out half a dozen or more folding chairs. This is really what they are most designed for. Another use for them can be for lower key gatherings or for use in a room that you usually use for other things but would occasionally like to be able to seat people within. Then these chairs can merely be whipped out from the closet or attic and put to immediate and easy use. Because of their foldable nature, they can be stored in tight spaces. They can also be carried with more ease, in their contracted position.

As you can see, as a homeowner you are not stuck relying on just metal and plastic folding chairs. Innovative furniture designers have come up with many great wooden solutions to your seating woes. And they look good at the same time!
